Civil Service Training Center of Taichung City Government participated in the 46th IFTDO in 2017 and received Best HRD Practice with a paper entitled “Using Evidence-based Theory to Develop Competence-based Basic Training Map – Training π Type Public Officials for Taichung City Government". The award was presented at the IFTDO annual meeting held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman by President Dr. Ghalib Saif Al Hosni and Her Highness Mona Al Said. This year, a total of 29 submissions were received from 9 countries, with 5 of them receiving the Best HRD Practice Award, and Taichung City Government is the only recipient from Taiwan.
The organizer acknowledged the Civil Service Training Center’s contributions to human resources development as well as the provision of valuable successful experiences to inspire others. The award will be published in the November 2017 issue of IFTDO News. To be able to stand out from global competition is a remarkable achievement by Taichung City Government, as it has increased Taiwan’s international visibility significantly.
